Ca’ Foscari has activated a new collaboration between art and business at Venezia: the project Insigni. Five young artists from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia have realised works which ‘signal’ artisan shops of the historic centre. Unique obligation: using neon lamps (with the technological support of F/Art and glass-blowers).
In 2018 Artissima celebrates its 25th anniversary. Directed by Ilaria Bonacossa for the second year in a row, the fair opened on Thursday 1st November at the OVAL in Torino.
There were many artists who exhibited a neon artwork as their form of expression. Most of them with our neon transformers to light up the cold cathode lamp.
The exhibition "RE.USE: scraps, objects, ecology in contemporary art" was inaugurated in Treviso on Friday 26th October. It is a temporary exhibition with artworks by 58 international artists and it's located in 3 areas of the city: Santa Caterina Museum, Casa Robegan Museum and Piano Nobile of Ca 'dei Ricchi.
The "Ambienti/Environments" exhibition, dedicated to Lucio Fontana's artworks and presented in 2017 at Pirelli Hangar Bicocca, has been nominated in the Best Impressionist and Modern category at the Global Fine Art Award 2018, an international art competition.
F/ART supports Artissima 2018 through the design and the production of neon exhibited in the DAF Struttura, the exhibition centre around which the program of the Artissima Experimental Academy is organized. It is an interactive exhibit: the neon sign will vibrate and change colour intensity according to the vibrations of sound and melodies experienced during the workshop.
