For some time now, in many highly specialised fields (such as aerospace, aeronautical, automobile, etc.), new materials – plastic and resin – have been synthesized and endowed with highly and specific innovative properties. For example, resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents; they are lightweight, flexible and offer excellent physical and mechanical resistance to several stresses, including repetitive over the long-term. Given their ability to offer similar advantages, these technological materials quickly replaced the use of metals which do not offer the same potential.

F/ART was the first in the world to introduce this sort of technology in the 80s in the production of neon transformers. After lengthy, serious and extensive research, backed up by numerous strict and long-lasting technical tests, the company created its exclusive formula and working procedure, highly specialised and at the cutting edge of its field. This led to totally abandoning the previous transformer construction concept – based on the old, unreliable and unattractive metal box – thereby obtaining a series of important technological benefits.

In 1980 the company filed its first patent and the Resinblock models were presented, which even 40 years later are still the only ones available on the market and are unparalleled in terms of reliability, resistance and durability.

In 2019 F/ART launched its new products for powering LEDs used in lighting and for signs, and in 2020 a new range for sanitization wth ozone and cold plasma, applying its know-how in such a way as to create the first LED divers and transformers for ozone/cold plasma generators in the world with resin encapsulation.

What are the benefits of F/ART’s special resin?


All the power supplies have a weakness in common, this being the heating of the individual electronic components.
Operating the power supplies in areas that are too hot will lead to the premature wear of the most heat-sensitive parts, such as the electrolytic capacitors.
The F/ART resin allows efficient dissipation of heat, therefore avoiding overheating of the power supply’s core.

  • The presence of a single material (the resin) in contact with the external environment (air) facilitates better heat exchange. Instead, the products of other brands contain several materials (plastic/aluminium, silicone, air) and therefore every change of material with different thermal conductivities leads to discontinuity in heat transfer.
  • Thanks to a consolidated vacuum resin sealing process developed by F/ART, any air pockets that would act as insulators in the heat dissipation process are eliminated, as can happen with metal or plastic containers where the filling with silicone is carried out by casting under normal ambient conditions.



  • The LED power supply and neon transformer components are protected against dust and water, ensuring their functioning in areas with adverse atmospheric and environmental conditions.
  • The result is a product with high strength and robustness, a characteristic confirmed by its visual appearance.



  • F/ART resin is resistant to UV rays, sudden changes in temperature and more in general to the action of atmospheric agents, remaining aesthetically unchanged over time.
  • F/ART products are therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, unless otherwise specified and if installed correctly.



Given that the formation of any kind of rust is impossible due to the resin encapsulation, the original appearance is guaranteed over time, without the risk of unaesthetic alterations in terms of appearance and colour.



F/ART’S experience with resin spanning almost 40 years is no mean feat. Evidence of this are the millions of neon transformers installed for decades in the most varied conditions, in particular where there is exposure to bad weather and particularly rigid or extremely hot climates.
